Yog is a Sanskrit word that means union. Nowadays its familier with YOGA word that not the right way to understand about it. In our Bharat all are knows yog means union, this term is also use in math in case of addition. And in many stream they are included like incident commonly refer as yog, and this is because everything happens with the union of nature so any incident are says as yog. let us know what is yog.
Yog is a Sanskrit word that means union. The way you become united with anyone, that united state is called yog. Yog is a normal phenomenon like a relationship begins. Any relation happens when you are ready. Similarly, yog (connection with God) will be started when you are ready for that. There are some steps that can prepare yourself for Yog, that are:-
When it is start, never be end. And the best thing about it, that is it only gets started when you will want. And that’s why in certain places yog is not there because they did not want it. There were many reasons for not wanting yog, mainly it is not easy to maintain our body to see beyond physicality. So, from generation to generation it became vanished.

All the prospective ways of life are described in a very easy way in our Sanatan Dharm. Yog is one of the great ways of living. First, in our human history, Aadiyogi is the one who taught the knowledge of the yog system, to his 7 students and they spread this precious knowledge throughout the world.
In the yog system, the main thing is to know everything with the own experiences. Yog is not a thing that anyone teaches you, it is only get initiated by others, like Guru or the close one, but the way of experience is totally yours. That’s why we see every yogi live in a different way but they all say similar words. There is only one truth and whenever a person gets that, we say he is a yogi as he united with that.
So, yog is a path of your experiences that reach you towards the ultimate truth.
There are some yogis who have taught the truth, which is written in the scripture. The earliest references to yog are found in the Rigved, Ramayan, and Bhagawat Geeta. We have got detailed references to the yog from Patanjali’s book " Yog Sutr". In this book, he explains all the steps that take you towards yog.
